## 1. Hero

**Eyebrow:** Gifting · 2026 harvest

**H1:** A gift from one field in Istria

**Intro:**
This autumn, the 288 trees on the Taronco gave us 5,078 kilos of olives and 698 litres of oil. Around 450 litres of it is available as gifts this Christmas, for companies and for individuals. When that has gone, there is no more until the next harvest.

**Primary CTA:** Enquire about corporate gifts → (anchors to enquiry form)
**Secondary CTA:** See the gift packs → (anchors to packs)

---

## 2. The oil, in three numbers

**H2:** Every gift comes with its results

**Body:**
The olives were picked by hand, by a team paid above minimum wage, and pressed at 19–21°C within 12 hours of picking at the Chiavalon mill in Vodnjan. The 2026 oil was then analysed by the mill's in-house laboratory. Three numbers tell most of the story.

**Stat 1**
**0.12%** acidity
About a sixth of the 0.8% limit for extra virgin olive oil. Low acidity points to healthy fruit that reached the press quickly.

**Stat 2**
**3.3** peroxide value
About a sixth of the limit of 20. Very little oxidation, so the oil tastes fresh and keeps well.

**Stat 3**
**549.5 mg/kg** polyphenols
The natural compounds behind the bitterness and peppery finish of a fresh, well-made oil.

**Below stats:**
Every pack includes a card with the full 2026 results, so whoever receives it can see exactly what's in the bottle.

## 3. The gift packs

**H2:** Four ways to give it

## 4. Co-branded gifts

**H2:** Your message, our harvest

**Body:**
For companies who want the gift to come from them. We design the presentation box, message card and neck tag with you, then print and pack everything here in Istria.

Design is by Sam, who designed this website. Printing is by Dino Moscarda, who works the Taronco with his brother Fabio and runs a full-service print shop.

The Taroncino label stays on every bottle. Where the oil comes from, and what the analysis shows, is part of what you're giving.

**H3:** How it works

1. **Tell us what you need**
Which pack, how many, your message, and when you need them.
2. **We design**
You'll receive a design proof within [CONFIRM: number] working days.
3. **You approve**
We make changes until it's right, then go to print.
4. **We print, pack and send**
To one address, or to several across the EU.

**CTA:** Start a co-branded order →

---

## 5. The makers *(hidden until at least one maker is confirmed)*

**H2:** The people who made the rest of the box

**Intro:**
The bowls and spoons in our Table pack are made by hand, close to the Taronco.

**Maker profile template** (one per confirmed maker):
- **Name and craft:** [Name], [ceramicist / woodworker], [village or town]
- **Portrait photograph:** at work, natural light
- **2–3 sentences in their own words where possible:** how they learned the craft, what they make, what material they use and where it comes from
- **What they make for the pack:** one line

**Copy rule:** Only real, confirmed makers with their permission to be named and photographed. No placeholder people.

## 6. Practicalities

**H2:** Before you order

**Where do you deliver?**
Within the European Union only. We can't currently send to the UK.

**When do I need to order by?**
Co-branded orders by [CONFIRM: 20 November]. Taster and Estate packs by [CONFIRM: 5 December] for delivery before Christmas.

**How is everything packed?**
Each bottle [and ceramic piece] is individually protected for the journey. [CONFIRM: packing materials, and whether they are recyclable or plastic-free — only state what's true.]

**How long does the oil keep?**
Every bottle carries its harvest date and best-before date. Once opened, it's at its best within a few months, which is one reason we offer the 250ml size.

**Can you invoice my company?**
Yes. [CONFIRM with accountant: VAT invoicing for EU business orders.]

**Do you supply larger bottles?**
750ml and 1-litre bottles are available for restaurants, delis and stockists. Please use our sales enquiries page. → (links to Sales Enquiries)

# PART B — CLAUDE DESIGN BRIEF

---

## Purpose

A new **Gifting** page that sells the idea of the gift, not the product. Visitors should understand in this order:

1. This is oil from a small, real, limited harvest.
2. The quality is measured, not just claimed.
3. There are clear packs to choose from.
4. Companies can make it their own.
5. How to order.

The site remains a showcase. This page leads to an enquiry form and, if live, an external Etsy link. No cart or checkout.

## Navigation and URLs

- Add **Gifting** as a top-level nav item, between *Harvest Experience* and the *Sales Enquiries* button.
- URLs, following the language framework:
  - `/gifting/`
  - `/it/regali/` `[CONFIRM with family review]`
  - `/hr/darovi/` `[CONFIRM with family review]`
- Add hreflang tags for all three, as in `taroncino-language-framework.md`.
- Internal links on the IT and HR pages must point to IT and HR paths (the known routing bug).
- Link to the existing analysis section: `[CONFIRM: exact path of Understanding the Analysis]`.

## Design system

Use the existing system unchanged.

| Token | Value | Use on this page |
|---|---|---|
| Deep forest green | `#1E3A2F` | Headings, stat numbers, primary buttons |
| Mid green | `#2D5A3D` | Hover states, links |
| Pale green | `#EDF4F0` | Stats band background |
| Warm stone | `#C4A882` | Fine rules, small accents only |
| Parchment | `#F7F4EE` | Page background, form background |

- **Type:** Archivo Narrow throughout. Stat numbers large and bold, echoing the bottle label.
- **Feel:** editorial and photography-led, with generous whitespace. Not a shop. No badges, sale ribbons, countdown timers or "limited stock" alerts.

## Section-by-section layout

### 1. Hero
- Full-width photograph. Preferred: a finished pack in natural light on a stone or wooden surface at the Taronco. Fallback until packs are shot: harvest photograph from the existing library.
- H1 and intro on parchment, beside the image on desktop and below it on mobile.
- Two buttons: primary (solid deep green) and secondary (text link with arrow).

### 2. Three numbers
- Pale green band.
- Three stat blocks in a row on desktop, stacked on mobile.
- Each block: large number, label, one-line explanation.
- Optional: reuse the animated bar component from *Understanding the Analysis*, showing each value against its EVOO limit (acidity and peroxide only; polyphenols has no limit, so show the number alone). Respect `prefers-reduced-motion`: show final state without animation.
- Text link to the analysis section beneath.

### 3. Gift packs
- Four cards: two by two on desktop, single column on mobile.
- Each card: photograph (4:5), pack name, contents, short description, price line.
- **Table card:** controlled by a `makersConfirmed` flag. When false, hide the card entirely (no "coming soon" state).
- Co-branded card links to section 4.

### 4. Co-branded gifts
- Two-column on desktop: body copy left, photograph right (ideally Dino's print shop or a design proof on a desk).
- Four numbered steps in a horizontal row on desktop, vertical on mobile. Numbers in deep green, Archivo Narrow bold.
- CTA button linking to the form, with "Co-branded: Yes" preselected.

### 5. Makers
- Controlled by the same `makersConfirmed` flag. Hidden when false.
- One profile per maker: portrait, name and craft, short text. Alternate image left and right on desktop.

### 6. Practicalities
- Accessible accordion. Use `<details>` and `<summary>`, or buttons with `aria-expanded`.
- All items closed by default. Keyboard operable.
- Mark up with FAQPage structured data.

### 7. Enquiry form
- Parchment background, single column, max width ~640px.
- Visible labels, not placeholder-only labels. Required fields marked with * and explained above the form.
- Country dropdown limited to EU member states.
- Validation errors shown inline beside the field, and announced to screen readers.
- Success message replaces the form. Move focus to the success message.
- Form goes to the same handler as Sales Enquiries `[CONFIRM: form handler and recipient address]`, with subject line "Gifting enquiry".

### 8. Etsy link
- Controlled by an `etsyLive` flag. Hidden when false.
- A single quiet line with outbound link. Opens in the same tab with a visible external-link icon and `aria-label` noting it goes to Etsy.

## Accessibility

- All interactive elements keep the existing `:focus-visible` treatment, matching hover states.
- Check stat numbers and body text against background colours for WCAG AA contrast, especially warm stone, which must not be used for text.
- Alt text describes what is in each photograph, not marketing language. Example: "Estate pack: a 500ml black glass bottle in a presentation box beside its analysis card."

## Photography needed

New photography for this page, ideally shot together:

1. Taster pack, closed and open
2. Estate pack, closed and open
3. Table pack with bowl and spoon (once makers confirmed)
4. Example co-branded presentation box (can use a fictional company name)
5. Harvest and analysis card, close up
6. Dino at the print shop, or a design proof being checked
7. Maker portraits (once confirmed)

Until shot, use existing harvest and estate images. Never use stock imagery of olive oil or gift boxes.

## Copy rules for this page

- Do not use "ultra premium", "UP" or any certification language.
- Do not make health claims. Polyphenols are described by flavour and keeping quality only.
- Do not imply organic certification.
- The analysis is by the Chiavalon mill's in-house laboratory. Say this; do not call it independent.
- No invented scarcity. The limit is the real harvest figure.
- Spellings: Taronco, Danilo, Galižana.
- If the Chiavalon brothers are named anywhere, credit Sandi and Tedi together.

## Launch flags

| Flag | Default | Turn on when |
|---|---|---|
| `makersConfirmed` | false | At least one maker confirmed, with permission to be named and photographed |
| `etsyLive` | false | Etsy shop live and its policy on curated packs checked |
